Gena Showalter When I began writing the Lords of the Underworld series, I had the grain of an idea. An immortal man is killed...but awakens the next morning knowing he has to die again. I played the "What If and Why" game. Why is he killed? Why does he awaken? Why does he have to die again? Eventually I asked myself: What if men opened Pandora's box, unleashed the evil trapped inside and as punishment, they are forced to carry that evil inside themselves? And the series was born!
