Thanks Don. I appreciate that. Going totally off-canon can be tricky. I tried to make the characters stay as similar to the original as possible (Darcy a bit unlikable at first. Elizabeth feisty), otherwise I felt there was a danger of it ending up having nothing to do with P + P and just being a story about two people who happened to be called Darcy and Elizabeth.
