I must say the Lords of the Underworld series hooked me from the very first book. You take a great deal of time with the characters. Then you continue to have them appear in the following books. Of course I hope all their stories are written. Angels of the Dark I have also come to love. Will you continue to write their stories and will one be published soon?
Gena Showalter
Thank you so much!
The angels are being absorbed into the Lords of the Underworld series. Bjorn, Xerxes and Axel are in The Darkest Promise, and one day I will write happily ever afters for them :) In fact, when the time comes to make another Sent One the hero/star of a book, I plan to write it the same way I wrote the other Angels of the Dark book.
And the Lords have a new book in 2017!
Coming June 13, 2017 is The Darkest Promise, Cameo's story! Here's the blurb:
New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter returns with a sizzling Lords of the Underworld story about an iron-willed sovereign and the somber beauty who melts him with a glance...
Possessed by the demon of Misery, Cameo isn’t allowed to experience joy. If she dares, her memory is wiped clean. With no other recourse, she sneaks into a land more fantastical than any fairytale, determined to find the one man with the key to her redemption.
Lazarus the Cruel and Unusual rules his kingdom with unwavering focus: to build his army and annihilate his enemies. Nothing distracts him—until Cameo. He is relentless in his quest to make her smile...and seduce her into his bed.
As dark forces conspire against them, threatening to destroy the fragile bond they've forged, the once-calm Lazarus grows crazed. Every heart-stopping kiss and wicked touch causes Cameo to teeter on the brink of happiness. But if she falls, she risks forgetting him forever…

Oh my goodness! I am such a HUGE fan Gena! Your Alice in Zombieland trilogy got me into zombies not to mention that Ali Bell is my twin. We are SO much alike I couldn't stop thinking to myself that you wrote this character for me. :) But my questions to you is how did you come up of how Ali would look and act? Is some of her personality taken from yourself? And did you plan on having Kat die from the the beginning?
