vampire truths seems pretty much off the beaten trend. what prompted you to write it?

A few years ago, I read the original Dracula by Bram Stoker. It was much scarier and darker than some of the current romantic versions. So I decided to write a brief story about how I thought one of the original vampires would think, and how he would feel after a long life of killing and feeding. Thanks.
