Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Alix Christie I'm a letterpress printer and was fascinated to learn in 2001 that Gutenberg's first types were not as sophisticated as people had thought. This sent me on a very long journey of discovery, in which I found that the great Bible was not just the fruit of this lone genius, but a "Holy Trinity" that included the scribe Peter Schoeffer and Johann Fust, the venture capitalist. To me it was a treasure hunt, a puzzle I wanted to get to the bottom of. Lots more at www.gutenbergsapprentice.com
