I have just finished The Daylight War of the Demon Cycle, it ends as Arlen goes over the cliff. Is there a book 4 that picks up where book 3 leaves off?

Yes! The Skull Throne is book 4 in the series and will pick up right where Daylight War leaves off. The first chapter is up on www.petervbrett.com/excisions, and the full novel should go on sale March 2015 in the US and April 2015 in the UK.

Hi Peter, I'm from New York as well! As a favor to another New Yorker and fantasy lover, do you think you could be more thoughtful in your portrayal of women in your books? To be honest, I was so disappointed after I read The Warded Man that I almost rage-quit the fantasy genre. I've loved reading fantasy since I was a child, but it was just so disappointing to read female characters who were so un-lovingly rendered.

I was surprised by the quality of the action and fight scenes in your Demon Cycle. Based on your profile photo, is it safe to say that you drew inspiration for that kind of writing from comics? Or do you find some other way of bringing the action to life in a purely text-based medium?
