Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Rabi Gunaratnam Lionel and Jean from 'As Time Goes By' are one my favourites. They each have their idiosyncrasies but make a great couple who are tolerant and understanding towards each other (they are former lovers who went separate ways and came together after 40 years). They support each other and their families. Lionel is a reluctant step father who cares for his step daughter and shows a degree of responsibility for her. They show the importance of family and family relationships. The show is very funny too, I must add.
