I have many favourite fictional characters. It doesn't help that I read such a broad spectrum of books either. But I guess if I had to pick just one, the one that stands out is that of Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his monster.
It's both a story of love and horror, which makes it profound for me.
Their unbalanced relationship is the true horror of the story, in my eyes. Not the creation, but the power plays at work, and , despite Dr. Frankenstein's later guilt and despair over what he has created, he still lords his power over his monster.
There are just so many levels to this story that it has always stayed on my radar.

Here is the thing, Claire. We start a series, then no more to read and we wait. We read other series and other books. We forget most of what happened in your series we are waiting for. So we either have to read the whole thing again or we just forget the whole thing. I am getting so I like to wait for the whole thing to be out to even start. But I admit I did not with Odium. So I am hoping by "soon" you mean soon. ?
