Hmmm, that question's a real toughie --and it can be taken in different ways. Does "couple" just mean a married couple, or does it include dating or engaged couples? And if it means married or engaged couples, do they have to be married or engaged at the start of their book or series, or is that something that can happen in the course of things, or at the end?
Since the question didn't define "couple," I'll use my own definition. For me, the answer would have to be Bella and Edward from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga. Probably because I followed them through four thick books, they're the fictional couple I've engaged with, and gotten inside their heads, the most ; and I was very captivated by their story, and the way they grew, as individuals and as a couple, through the challenges they went through.
