Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Mark Edward Hall I'm not sure if you meant male/female or just any fictional couple. My first answer would have Io be Sherlock Holmes and Watson because of their remarkable intuitiveness. Holmes was obviously the boss, but he never would have been able to solve as many cases without having a partner like Watson to bounce ideas off of. Rizzoli and Isles are also a good match-up. And I thought that Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley were good because of their mutual respect for one another. I know there are many more great couples in literary history.
