Jason and Medea come to mind, in Euripides' tragedy MEDEA, as a symbol of the ultimate dysfunctional marriage (which even spawned an urban legend, "The Poisoned Dress"), but then one must remember I write horror stories. On a happier note, though still dysfunctional in their way, Adam and Eve in the movie ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE.
