Absolutely love your books and won a signed copy at an auction on Facebook about birds. I'm in loved with your work! How do you find the inspiration to write such awesome stories? Does anything inspire the intricate details of the stories you write?

Thank you and congrats on the win. I find inspiration in life and in death. The ideas come from places I’ve gone, things I’ve seen, memories that stick in my mind, dreams, magazine articles and stories in the newspaper, even TV shows. It all depends. Something catches my attention and I think, “What if” and I’m off and running. Hopefully. Sometimes I run right into a brick wall and that story never gets off the ground, but there are enough to keep me going. (I just hope I never run out of ideas.) The intricate details are for the reader so that she/he can see what I’m seeing. I’m glad to hear it’s working!

This is so exciting! I have read most of your books and they are great! Sometimes I am wide awake at night after reading one of your books because I think I hear noises in my old house lol. Do you ever get spooked while you are writing? Where do you find the inspiration behind your storylines? Are the characters in your books based on real people?
