Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler. Scarlett was the first fictional woman I ever encountered (at 14) who was defiant and who was willing to do what she thought needed to be done, and Rhett was wildly romantic and unconventional, yet willing to do what he saw as right when necessary. I admire that.
