My favorite portrayed to date is Jocelyn and William Thatcher in the movie "A Knight's Tale." The story about how he could only relate in a superficial way, but was the only knight who did not claim to fight for her in the beginning, was a great lead in to why he was special to her. Her making him prove his love by losing that which he thought he desired most, and him giving in, showed a deep conflict within his heart that he overcame. I believe it shows the truth about how love trumps personal desires.
