Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Sarah-Jane Lehoux I think I'll have to go with Anne and Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables. I love how they squabble. I love how devoted Gilbert is to Anne. And I love how long it takes her to realize her true feelings for him. Their relationship was always so natural and so tender. They challenge one another and push them to be better versions of themselves. That, to me, is true romance.
