Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Linda Naseem Jane Eyre & Rochester, of course! Because I am a die-hard romantic and what could be more romantic than their story: they fall in love, she leaves him for moral reasons despite his pleading & starts a new life, he loses everything and becomes an invalid and she hears him calling her name, rushes to his side,nurses him back to health & they live happily ever after.
i know it doesn't really happen like that, but how delicious!
