For some reason I find this question incredibly difficult. There are many fictional couples I don't like, and I'm certain that I'm overlooking many quality relationships.
For now, I choose Lyra and Will from His Dark Materials because their childhood romance is so well developed, because their relationship is so redemptive and so cosmically intertwined with the rest of the story, and because they are deeply flawed characters who learn love one another. Perhaps most because in spite of their deep flaws and selfishness they sacrifice themselves for one another and for the world.
