Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Sheri Wren Haymore Thank you for asking! This was a tough one. I have so many favorite books, and I love each one for a different reason; however, there's not a particular couple that stands out in any of my favorites. Except, of course, Britt and Dena in my own novel, A Higher Voice. They're my favorite because their relationship is very complicated. Britt (a rock and roll legend) struggles with a lot of demons, but his one constant is Dena, and he tries mightily to live up to her trust. He truly answers the question, "How far would a man go to protect his family?" And Dena--I do have readers tell me she's too good to be true because of the way she sticks by Britt through incredible turmoil. But Dena stands up to Britt in a way no one else can. She has a backbone, and she doesn't need him. She stays because she knows at his core, he's good and has her best interest at heart.
