Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Julia Buckley This is a tough one. But the first couple that came to mind are Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane, whose relationship begins when he tries to exonerate her of a murder charge in the novel STRONG POISON and continues through several more novels.

Dorothy Sayers, in this couple, created one of the most romantic and wonderful love stories in fiction. I highly recommend STRONG POISON, but my favorite in terms of romantic dialogue is the novel HAVE HIS CARCASE.
