Trying to pick one couple as a favorite isn't an easy task. But, as I thought about this, one couple kept popping into my head.
J.D. Robb's (Nora Roberts) Eve and Rourke. They both had terrible childhoods. One embraced the law while the other broke laws for the sport of it, but in the end, they found each other and ultimately the happiness that had been void in their lives. They work as a true team, pondering crime from their unique viewpoints, and in the end, they always prevail and put the bad guys behind bars. Their journey to have a "normal" marriage between two people with such abnormal backgrounds leads to inherent conflict that I truly enjoy. That, and the way they respect each other for who they are.
