Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Christine Poe The characters and the idea for Moonlight On The Shenandoah have tossed around in my head for a long time. When I finally sat down to write this book, the title and the characters changed from what I had planned in my head. They took on a life of their own and the story took off. I couldn't write it fast enough. I wrote the first draft in a month, then polished it over and over to ready it for submission. Sometimes when the characters are so bold and brilliant in my mind, I don't ask questions, I just write!
