"Favorite" isn't quite the right word, but, to me, the most compelling couple is Lady Brett Ashley and Jake Barnes in THE SUN ALSO RISES. Theirs is a complex relationship between two damaged and disillusioned individuals who seem incapable of a commitment to another person yet fundamentally love each other.
