After reading too many books that made me wonder how do these authors get so many great reviews, I purchased, Say Goodbye for Now, via Amazon.de, because it had only two reviews. Since I'm an author, and don't have many reviews, I thought I would support an author in the same predicament Ha... little did I know that you are an author with an impressive record! Was your career beginning a struggle?

Did you buy an English edition on Amazon.de? If so, that would explain why so few reviews. Either that or you bought it very soon after release. Anyway, thank you!
Yes, it was a struggle for many years. I have been a full-time author since 1991 but didn't have a novel published until 1997 and didn't earn any real money from my writing until 1999. And even after a couple of very successful periods in my career, more struggle followed. Now things are going very well and I am grateful.
Thanks for you question!

How did you come up with "Love In The Present Tense?" That is one of my all time favorite books.

Not a question, just a note to say how much I am enjoying your books. I've been listening to them as audiobooks, starting with Don't Let Me Go, which captured my heart - as has every book I've read since. I'm almost done with "Say Goodbye For Now" and can't wait to start the next one. Thank you for your insights, your beautifully drawn and empathetic characters, and your real, human stories. Hi Catherine. I just read Allie and Bea and loved it. Question: At the end Allie said "Manuela was wrong. Bea didn't steal my stuff" Who was Manuela? And how did Allie get her Alpaca suitcases back? I thought Brick stole them. I've looked but finally gave up. Thanks in advance :)
