Zadrżała sala i świta królewska.

“Nothing but a symbol? People die for symbols. People have hope because of symbols. They're not just lines. They're histories, cultures, traditions, given shape.”

“I don't want to be their equal. I don't want them to look us in the eye. I want them to look away, to blink harshly, as if they'd stared at the sun itself. I don't want them standing across from us. I want them kneeling.”

“Séverin crossed his arms. “Zofia, tell him he’s pretty.”
Zofia didn’t look up from her tea. “I am personally undecided, but if we’re assessing based on objectivity, then according to the principles of the golden ratio, also known as phi, which is approximately 1.618, your facial beauty is mathematically pleasing.”

“The patriarch had grabbed the girls too dark to be visible in the world’s eyes; whose languages fell on deaf ears; whose very homes at the edge of society pushed them too far into the shadows for notice.”

“Stop punishing yourself for being someone with a heart. You cannot protect yourself from suffering. To live is to grieve. You are not protecting yourself by shutting yourself off from the world. You are limiting yourself.”

“Just a moment," David said, planting a finger on the page to mark his place in his book. "What was your name ?"
    "Yuri Vedenen, moi soverenyi."
"Yuri Veneden, if you upset my wife again, I will kill you where you stand."
The monk swallowed. "Yes, moi soverenyi."
"Oh, David," Genya said, taking his hand. "You've never theatened to murder anyone for me before."
"Haven't I?" He murmured distractedly, placed a kiss on her knuckles, and continued reading.”

“After all this time, she still had not found an end to her grief. It was a dark well, an echoing place into which she’d once cast a stone, sure that it would strike bottom and she would stop hurting. Instead, it just kept falling. She forgot about the stone, forgot about the well, sometimes for days or even weeks at a time. Then she would think Liliyana’s name, or her eye would pause on the little boat painted on her bedroom wall, its two-starred flag frozen in the wind. She’d sit down to write a letter and realize she had no one to write to, and the quiet that surrounded her became the silence of the well, of the stone still falling.”
    Leigh Bardugo, King of Scars

“A lot can be learned from the big companies of today. Companies like Amazon have revolutionized logistics, companies like Tesla have revolutionized sustainable systems, companies like Microsoft and Google have revolutionized data mining and data distribution, companies like Maersk have revolutionized Supply Chains, companies like Gardein and Beyond Meat have revolutionized food. Every company can serve as a case study of some kind with various lessons that can be learned.”
