not answering the
girl's question.

“You're Abby, a fugitive that has been on the
run ever since you left the orphanage.” she responded.

“And that won't bother you? who are you?” she asked inquisitively.

“Riley is the name or RI for my nickname
and no, that won’t bother me! In fact, can I join you?” she answered.

Abby stared at her, “Join me? In running for my life?” she asked, shocked.

“Yes, if my name did not remind you,
I am a fugitive too!” she declared.

“Well, ok?” she said.”
Abigail Bostic

“The girl just stared at him then said,
“My name is Abigail Miller.”

“The fugitive on the run?” he asked.

“Yeah, why do you sound surprised? don’t you

Abby asked.

“Yep! All you need to know is how to use a
gun or a knife, unless you know how to already.”

he said, and looked down at her gun clipped on

“Umm yes, I know how to use both but why?”
she asked

Was it so he could sell her out to the world?”

“Hello?” Riley asked confused.

The girl stayed still.

Riley pinched her on her shoulder.

The girl jumped and pushed herself away
rubbing her arm.

“Ow, what was that for?” the girl shrieked.

“You're alive? how?”

The girl did not answer and just stared at Riley like
she was ridiculous.”
Abigail Bostic

“Who are you?” asked Riley

The girl let out her breath and Riley did not
see what she was holding. The the girl raised
both eyebrows.

“That's good” she whispered to herself.

Riley could still hear her.

“What's good?” Riley asked the girl; she shook
her head letting pieces of dirt and loose strands
of hair fly out of her ponytail.
Nothing, never mind.”

She said, still not answering Riley's question.

Riley let out a hard sigh.

“Both of your answers don’t answer my questions.”

Riley said, angry the girl wrinkled her nose.

“Sorry, I am Abby, a worldwide fugitive, how I am
alive I do not know.”

Riley's eyebrows raised at the mere senses “I am
Abby a worldwide fugitive.”
Abigail Bostic

“Umm, well for the crimes list, I did theft,
underage drinking, trying to kill a government
leader man, that was fun. Oh, killed fifty people
in one sitting, and ran from the law and yet the
government still has not managed to put me in
jail. Why I did them, I do not know, I lived in an
orphanage since I was five, they let me go when
I was fourteen and I did not know how to live
without my parents, so I did it.” ”
Abigail Bostic

“Why can’t anyone in this society tell me where
she is!” Selah yelled in anger as she fell into her chair
next to her desk with her computer on the tab
named Abigail Miller plus ten more tabs
that had some information on Abby. Selah lifted
her head and said, “She is my cousin, this should be easy!”
“Oh, who am I kidding, she is a worldwide
fugitive! of course, she’s the world's hardest
person to find!”
Abigail Bostic

“Selah could hear the chuckles in his voice.

“Ben, would you stop that?” she cried

Ben raised his hands in the air.

“Ok fine, what can I do to help?” he asked

“Find her.” declared Selah

“If you cannot do that what makes you think I can?”

he asked, Selah did not respond.

“That's what I thought,” Ben said.

“Ok, Ben you win, I'll stop looking for her.” replied Selah.

“I didn't say that.” said Ben.

“So, what were you meaning then?”
Abigail Bostic

“So, do you remember anything about your par-.”

Riley started but Abby cut her off.

“I thought you said you were going to stop
asking about my parents.” declared Abby

“I was then asked a new question...”

Abby stopped, and Riley was about ten feet
from her when she knotted Abby stopped Riley
spun towed her.

“You good?” asked Riley.

“Just... listen, I was five when they died, and I don’t
remember them very much." replied Abby.

Riley opened her mouth to say something but
closed it just as fast, Abby chuckled.

“Funny thing is, I do not even remember their
names, where they lived, my birthday, if I
have any family members still alive...or how my
parents died. Ok, there, that is all I know, now stop
asking, do not forget I have a gun and a knife still
on me so do not make me mad.” Abby said.”
Abigail Bostic

“She might go by Abby, sounds familiar.”

Riley still did not say anything.

“The worldwide fugitive, the orphan that
left the orphanage at age fourteen, ringing
any bells?” Selah”
Abigail Bostic

“Because in a broken world, you're still the one I would look for, no matter what.”
Abigail Bostic

“I think you can guess why I'm here," I knew it. He got in trouble with the king. Which he sent his guards to go after him.

"Yes, I got in some trouble with the king.... yes, he sent his guards after me.... yes, I kept looking for you to see if you were still alive..."
That one I hadn't thought of. But still, why?

"Red, I know things back then between our friendship was.... mixed. But you're still my best friend, so yes, I still would look for you even when the world was braking." I narrowed my eyes at him. Best friends? No, I'll settle for friends, but only people worth knowing deserves the title of best friends. And he, he had not deserved it yet.”
Abigail Bostic

“My eyes widened. And as I was walking downstairs, I heard laughter. I reached the bottom of the stairs. "Hello?"

The man-well, he looked more like a teenager than a grown man. Nearly older than me- who was standing next to Madson, he looked at me with narrowed eyes.

"You are?"
"David."
"Why are you here? How are you here?"

He held a hand up. "I'll ask the questions here. Your name?"

I stiffened. "Thats classified information about me."

He sighed. "Redlyn."

To that I froze completely. "how do you know that?”
Abigail Bostic

“Red?" Madson said his structure hazed, fuzzy, leaning over me. "Red!" he repeated. I started to be able to see him again. He was looking up at someone, saying something.

"Should we take her to the paramedics?"

"She's fine," Davids voice. "She survived a bullet to the neck. She can live through passing out."

"She hit her head on the table! And she hit the ground hard!" Kenith's voice now.”
Abigail Bostic

“I smiled at him. But my mind was somewhere else. Running through memories of me and my childhood best friend. At how he looked at me, talked to me, laughed with me, and anything else he did with me. Then I remembered his words. "Because in a braking world, you're still the one I would look for, no matter what." I knew he never truly said he loved me, maybe thought about it, but never said it. And if he ever gave a clue to it. I always ignored them.”
Abigail Bostic

“The kings drones!" Kenith said. My eyes widened. I couldn't move as the light moved closer and closer until I saw it crawling up my body. Madson and David both grabbed and pulled me behind a burnt down building. My eyes fogged, heart beating to fast I couldn't hear anything. I saw Madson say something, the fear in Kenith's eyes, the worry on David's face. Soon I started to relax, I could hear what Madson was saying in a fast, low voice.

"She may not make it out here." David's comeback. "She's fine. Everyone has there own fears to face. This is hers."

"I don't care. I promised no harm."

"Then lets move." All eyes came to me as I stood and started walking, I didn't need to look back to know they would follow.”
Abigail Bostic

“The guard that spoke first said. "Redlyn Dark." he said it like he was my name.

"Yes, thats-"

"I did not tell you to talk." My mouth shut.”
Abigail Bostic

“You say your name is?"

"Redlyn Dark." I say

"Redlyn. Do you know what Redlyn means in this world?" I didn't answer. "It means," the king griped my face with one hand hard enough to hurt. "It means to different things. One, the word Red means blood. Two the whole name Redlyn means worrier." I nodded. I've heard what my name means before.

"Do you know why your name means what it means?" The king turned my face to each side over and over again. I stayed quiet. "Answer the question, Redlyn."

"Because the color red is the same as blood and Redlyn is what the legend says a child will be named and she will be a worrier." The king's grip tightened, I wanted to cry out, but I couldn't.

"You're wrong. I do not care for you're nickname, Redlyn is the name of a worrier queen who left her kingdom in order to find and kill the worlds powerful and dangers people.”
