“The compass rose is nothing but a star with an infinite number of rays pointing in all directions.

It is the one true and perfect symbol of the universe.

And it is the one most accurate symbol of you.

Spread your arms in an embrace, throw your head back, and prepare to receive and send coordinates of being. For, at last you know—you are the navigator, the captain, and the ship.”

“I'm not hungry."
"I am." He leaned down and nipped at my bottom lip, pulling a carnal sound from my throat.
"For breakfast?" I breathed.
I could feel the vibration of his laughter through his chest, pressed against mine. "Something like that."
I squealed a laugh as Caspian moved his hands and sank his fingers into my plush thighs, lifting me off the floor as I wrapped my arms around his neck. We didn't go far before he set me down on the cushions in the living area.
"Am I going to finally see that tattoo?" he mused.
I had to swallow another laugh as I undid my shorts, sliding them off and leaving myself in a pair of pink lace panties, with the tattoo on my hip exposed. Caspian's gaze was hot on the apex of my thighs for a long moment before he moved his attention to the blue lines on my skin, rubbing them gently with the pad of his thumb.
"A compass rose," he murmured.
"Yeah, I don't know what you know about American teenagers, but every year I think some percentage of us get cringy wanderlust tattoos, and this one was mine," I said. "There, is your curiosity sated?"
My attention flew back to the tattoo when a pair of hot lips pressed into it. "It's cute," Caspian said. "But I'm not even close to done exploring you.”
