“Painting of love

This afternoon I saw a painting hanging on the wall,
It was of a maiden in the prime of her beauty,
The background was painted in rainbow colours, one and all,
I had every reason to admire the artists sagacity,

Her form looked perfect worthy of every appreciation,
Her eyes interacted with mine,
Her lips had a strong and intense red sensation,
And from her arose feelings divine,

Although it was just a portrait,
A still painting hanging on the still wall,
She was a feeling that moved through eyes into the heart without any freight,
And in me, just like other mesmerised onlookers, she did feelings of life and love install,

Maybe I only felt so, maybe I wanted to feel so,
Because her eyes, her form, her everything reminded me of someone,
And I imagined her in this painting on the wall, and I allowed my mind to believe so,
As long as she did not remind me of anyone, or everyone, but just her, my special someone,

So I sat there looking at the painting on the wall,
I admired the salient aspects of her colourful beauty,
And now I too was still, still like the painting and still like the dead wall,
Now, not the painting, but the stillness it exuded had become my new propensity,

Like a flower that is beautiful in the presence of the beauty that holds itself within it so still,
A state where all conflicts are exhumed and everything that represents profanity dies,
That is when this painting with million joys my heart fills in the life’s unforgiving mill,
And recreates her colourful visions within me, and now my life just on them relies,

So, I often visit the painting on the wall, still hanging there,
And maybe it will be so always,
Until one day I find it everywhere,
Because I wish to love her in a million ways, in the narrow lanes, on the byways and all the highways!”

“Desert rose!

Like the traveler who wants to go everywhere,
Like the sunshine that falls on everything,
I want to travel too, but in one direction, that can be anywhere,
As long as it leads to you, because without you, the world means nothing,

Like the desert I want to spread endlessly,
Like the wind I desire to be free,
And chase your mirages over sand dunes tirelessly,
And then wherever you are, there I shall be,

Like the desert let your love be clear and unobstructed,
Like the calm of the desert let us spread everywhere,
Then in this desert let everything else be restricted,
Because I want it to be your representation everywhere,

Like an oasis oozing from the bosom of the desert,
Like the mirage of water to a thirsty desert wanderer on a hot day,
Let your love just one feeling assert,
That like an oasis you will flow through me everyday,

Like the beautiful desert rose,
Like the endless desert,
Let your feelings of love within me repose,
As I slowly, but surely into your devout disciple convert,

Like it first my love, before you begin to love it,
Like the desert rose then let me love you,
And finally as I, my soul to you shall submit,
Let me see the desert, the oasis and the desert rose, and eternity in you!”

“Cosmic lovers

The moon in the sky, bright and fully lit,
By the generous Sun that on it has never quit,

They have been part of this everlasting affair,
Where one brightens the other’s life in ways beautiful and fair,

The moon in the darkness of the night reflects the love beams of her admirer,
Who for millions of years has been her seeker,

So distant, so far, with never ending spaces to separate them both,
But what can separate from light the passions of a vigorous moth,

So they discovered a way to clad each other in their feelings,
That we witness as moon light are but sun’s and moon’s true feelings,

Cast by the sun from the distance and received by the moon,
As it burns in her memories everyday, every afternoon,

Then during the night the moon performs her burning act,
And that is where lies love’s true and the most inexplicable fact,

For what burns the sun, only brightens the moon,
And this is the wonder of their love affair that will not end ever, and not at all anytime soon!”

“Pool of memories

Like a dry flower petal that flies in the air,
Feeling it belongs to the sky,
I find her memories floating in my mind everywhere,
Whether I am thinking of her or in a vacant state of my mind I lie,

The memory, her memory, drifts from one neuron to another,
Until it settles where all her memories lie piled up,
And then these fragments and bits of memories condole each other,
And they all say together, “Hey you amorous soul, never give up!”

And all these memories rise and spread across my mind,
Hitched to every thought that arises from my cerebral thinking,
Though they think of now and sometimes of the future, eventually with her imaginations they all bind,
And in this pool of memories, now, time appears to be sinking,

So it doesn't matter whether it was yesterday or it is today,
Because I have been granted my wish,
That to lie immersed in her thoughts everyday,
In this pool of her memories the only fish,

That swims across it,
Feeds on it, and lives in this pool,
And then begins the true wonder of it,
The wonder of the romantic pool,

Where she assumes the form of every drop of memory,
And like a fish I swim and dive into her soul freely,
In a love’s own nursery,
Where I love her and romance her freely!”

“Love forever

She ran her fingers through her hair,
A smile appeared, and faded in her face somewhere,
Then as she lifted her eyebrows and she removed her freely falling hair,
In her eyes I found my desires and their brilliant glows, and in them I too existed somewhere,
Their charm immediately sieged me from everywhere,
And I began sinking into her sensation, her dreams and her eyes, and in it I sank somewhere,

Where my desires flowed unto her,
Now even my closed eyes only beheld her,
Her beauty had cast me in the crucible of love and its endless affair,
That exuded feelings invading my soul, and I fell in love with her,
With the glow in her eyes, with the smile that gradually submerges into her,
And makes me feel that I am endlessly being kissed by her,

I was engulfed by a veritable need to be with her forever,
To be her only thought about a true, and her only lover,
Whom she romances in the daylight and in the night’s dark cover,
A beautiful feeling from which she can part never,
A crescendo of joy that with every passing moment turns lovelier,
Creating a cohesion of two feelings which coexist in the cocoon of love forever,

She with me and I with her,
Where all desires before these two feelings surrender,
Creating a universe of love where my heart beats no longer whisper,
But beat loud and confess that they only beat for her,
And in return she too confesses, “I too will love you forever!”
And I cannot help falling in love everytime I see the smile gracefully covering her.”

“What if and love

What if time develops a trait to forget,
What if light does not travel at all,
What if life turns into a ceaseless moment of regret,
And every perception of height begins to crumble and fall,

What will become of the memories then,
What will become of the darkness,
Shall we be restricted to lead a life in a den,
Where there is everything packed within feelings riddled with moments of nothingness,

What will become of the love you felt,
What will become of the faces you come across everyday,
Shall the feeling die suddenly that arose in your heart when you had met,
That special someone on that very special moment, on that wonderful someday,

Will days then be reduced to just a someday, just another day,
Will feelings flow like a river that does not know its course,
But overflows its banks because it just wants to flow anyway,
Will you be then frozen in moments of endless remorse,

Because time has forgotten its preceding moments,
Memories exist but for what the mind is unable to discern,
And you lead a life that thrives on strange supplements,
Of needless worries, and exceedingly needless concern,

What if time stole from her my all memories,
What will then remind her of me,
Will she then lead a life of endless comedies or never ending tragedies,
Because in the crowd when I pass by she fails to recognise me,

I wonder what it will be like when time becomes forgetful,
And light cannot travel anymore,
Maybe I would choose to live in sublime moments deeply thoughtful,
Where I will only think of you and nothing else no more,

Then I will let time forget everything,
And let light not travel at all,
It cannot steal from me your memories because except you and your memories there is nothing,
And then both time and light shall in the abyss of your memories fall,

Where both will now only recognise you and bear your signatures,
And ah, my joy to see you then appear everywhere,
And I can barely wait to see light bearing your beauty’s textures,
While Irma my love, time spreads your memories everywhere!”
Javid Ahmad Tak, They Loved in 2075!

“As I loved

It was a moment of inner strife,
Where everything clashed with every force of life,

The feelings shielded the heart,
The memories protected the mind with an inimitable art,

And in this brutal battle I was caught,
Everything appeared flawed and with follies fraught,

Heart was beating to please the feelings,
And the mind dwelled on memories in its secret dealings,

But whatever their acts might have been,
They both were desperately trying to keep alive her beauty that they had once felt and seen,

And I let them indulge in their acts,
Because my heart through the memories of the mind was actually safeguarding its love pacts,

Made many decades ago,
But their authenticity and their freshness it could not forgo,

And I knew both of them were willingly caught in this situation,
Because it was their only possible means to offer me some emotional restoration,

So that they could live as I lived,
So that they felt loved as I loved!

And they both silently quoth, “we love her,”
And I openly said, “I love you because you love her!”
Javid Ahmad Tak, They Loved in 2075!

“In love then and in love now

In love then and in love now,
The mind never protested,
And I fell in love,
Because the heart too never resisted,

Time grew on us together,
Both of us, she and I as well,
Almost like two different people bearing the same feather,
And thus, in love we fell,

She became the sun that only shone for me,
While I always believed I was something similar for her,
And we became eternal lovers, and that is how it was meant to be,
She loving me and I loving her,

Her skin, her lips, her eyes were the only beauty’s icons I wanted to feel and see,
And in moments of love I spilled over her like a wave of joy,
And I loved her with every part of me,
Like a child, like a man and at times like a youthful innocent boy,

So, I continue to love her everyday and today,
With the clarity of my mind,
Because my heart beats for her everyday,
And wherever I may see, it is her eyes, her lips and her, that I find,

And it shall be so today and tomorrow too, because it is a feeling pleasuresome,
To love her now as I loved her then,
And when I think of you Irma, time does not become burdensome,
Because somehow it feels now, as it felt then!”

“Expectations of love

Felt, but not heard,
Experienced, but not rumpus,
Her every love kissed word,
That is often about us,

When she utters it,
Her eyes speak it,
My heart hears it,
While my mind helplessly flirts with it,

Always offered, but never demanded,
Invested, but never lost,
These are the moments of love by her commanded,
That keep us away from the time’s frost,

And when I am felt by them,
These infinite moments of love, I feel I live for them,
Because often it feels I live through them,
As she smiles at me through all of them,

Always accepted and never denied,
Always expected and never unwelcome,
Her wishes and desires united,
That my heart and mind always welcome,

And ah the feelings of joys experienced then,
And the endless feelings of love flowing through me then,
As she journeys through me then,
And I confess to her, “I love you now, as I loved you then!”

“Beauty and stone

In the huge town square,
A statue carved from stone witnessed every passer by,
And wondered how it could similar movements acquire,
So that it too could walk if not fly,

Its eyes constantly looked at the strange faces,
Its posture was always the same,
It stood at just one place and it could never visit other places,
For it had sacrificed everything in the static beauty’s name,

That is still, motionless, feelingless and always the same,
It even perceives different things with single perception of mind,
Cursed to play over and over again the same game,
Because for the statue-like beauty everything is predefined,

The posture, the view, the stance, and I guess even its every thought,
At least that is how I feel when I look at the statue placed in the main town square,
It seems to seek what it since eternity has sought,
Because it may bear a fixed expression, but that has nothing to do with its desire,

Because it expresses what its sculptor felt,
And in this crowded town square it looks the same every night, everyday and every time,
Of its own sweet will it has never with anything dealt,
It has witnessed many lovers’ kisses, and it has been witness to many a crime,

But it is its irony to be a statue and nothing else,
Beautiful to look at and admire,
But it has a missing pulse,
That of real, warm, sensitive and sensate beauty in its prime,

So, I sometimes look at it and just pretend it noticed me,
As I leave the spot, I see it unmoved and feelingless,
To it nothing matters, who you are or who you wish to be,
Because it is just beauty carved from stone, completely lifeless,

And then my love I think of you, and I miss you,
So I leave the statue and its stone carved beauty behind,
Because the statue is beautiful, but it cannot be you,
Therefore, instead in my memories and in my heart beats you I discover and always manage to find!”

“Beautiful ways

Memories with deep feelings,
Are like always retracting emotions,
They drop like sticky cob web hanging from the ceilings,
And retrieve many moments filled with deep sensations,

Sometimes they lead to poignancy,
And sometimes they bring flashes of her sweet memories,
And then the heart struggles to find its buoyancy,
Because the mind willingly all these moments carries,

Poor heart’s every perversion,
Fails to convince the mind to consider the heart’s requests, the heart that keeps it alive,
Alas the mind is a slave to her memories and her beautiful sensation,
And without bearing her feelings in no other thinking avenues it wishes to dive,

So the heart beats with a sense of precariousness,
While the mind seeks her sensations, her feelings and enters a state of meditation,
Where it only ponders on her feelings and her loveliness,
And the poor heart becomes the victim of its own creation,

Of loving, of feeling, of emoting, of beating just for her,
And as the mind becomes unresponsive,
I neither think of my anguished heart, my inactive mind, but just about her, and only about her,
And wait and hope that the reality becomes a little bit sensitive and a bit more submissive,

But destiny that turns the wheels of time and everything,
Has its own plans to execute and fulfil,
To it love, lovers, feelings do not mean anything,
Because it obeys someone else’s heart’s will,

For destiny is true to her emotions and her love affair,
And I too then proclaim I am devoted to my memories and their every sensation,
And loving her is by all means sensible and fair,
For if destiny can do what it pleases, my heart and mind too shall seek their destiny in their most loving destination,

So let destiny play its game and cast the heart and mind in time’s bottomless well,
But let it know, that we all- my heart, my mind and I, shall fill it too with her sensation,
And then time may bid to every other life’s pursuit its final farewell,
And then mine shall be the destiny and I shall live with her in the world that will be her beauty’s creation,

So, let my heart love her enough,
Let my mind think of her always,
For time and destiny maybe tough,
But love and facts always find their new and beautiful ways!”

“Let us

Let us fall in love and be romantics once again,
Let us kiss our desires again and again,

Let me pursue my feelings in your beautiful eyes,
Let us dive into them and feel the love that lies beyond these eyes,

Let us wear our emotions all over us,
To feel the kiss of love all over us,

Let us become the daylight and spread everywhere,
Or maybe in that secret somewhere where your beauty is everywhere,

Let me love you now and love you forever,
And let your heart confess it has felt the kiss of the true lover,

My darling Irma, let our love be the only event in our lives,
And let us only grow being a part of our beautiful love lives,

Let you be the summer day that never ends,
And let all my beginnings in your beautiful eyes find their ends,

Let me belong to you just like the Moon belongs to the sky,
Let us create a world where there is only your and my love’s sky,

Let your feelings like the scent of the rose sink into my senses,
And then let us love each other with all our senses,

Let us reside in some quiet corner together,
Where there is only one sound, that of our two hearts beating together,

Let us travel together from our today into our every tomorrow,
And carry our love into every moment that represents every tomorrow,

Let us walk through the corridors of time,
And leave the essence of our love as our signature in every moment of time,

Then let me hold your hand and travel somewhere,
Because now with our love’s essence residing in time, you shall be everywhere, even in places called somewhere,

Let me say it again and again, that my heart beats for you,
And then let every moment of time echo with these words, “my darling Irma I love you!”

Let the drops of dew reflect your grace,
And then let every flower bear the beauty of just one beautiful face, and your grace,

Let the moments of time rain over you and me,
And then let me find you everywhere within me,

Finally let the night conceal us in its dark and mystical shades,
And let us transform into love’s most beautiful cascades, only bearing your and my shades,

Then let the river of love flow into the valley of promises,
And let me find you in beautiful roses and let us now fulfill our promises!”

“Only with you!

Every moment spent with you appears fulfilling,
Then who cares whether it is shorter or longer,
For a feeling that is loving, although always evolving,
Sometimes makes me wish I could love you a little longer,

Every dream dreamt about you is beautiful,
Then who cares whether there is someone or something else in that dream,
Because with you life seems lovely and eventful,
And sometimes makes me wish if it were you in reality and not just a dream,

Every movement of yours appears to only invite me,
To feel the embrace of love and emotions deep,
Because with you my mind wishes to be,
And then as my head rests in your lap it wants to enter into a sleep that is long and deep,

Your every smile disarms me and makes me love you more,
To be your admirer who only seeks you,
Because with you I feel the rush of feelings never felt before,
And how I love to feel this rush again and again, but only with you!”

“When I saw her!

It was mid day, it was a sunny noon,
When she passed through,
I felt the shimmer of the moon,
And for a moment I believed everything about her was true,

Her eyes that radiated with the charm of the day,
Her wavy arms that moved like the waves of calm and graceful sea,
Her beautiful face that you would notice anyway,
And when she passed by, you hoped this is what you would always and forever see,

Her every step that led her somewhere,
Made you forget your errands and just be with her,
Wherever she went, just anywhere,
And you imagined a life with her, only with her,

And when she spoke to someone else,
You cursed the skies for this prejudice,
For in that moment you wanted to be this someone, and not anyone else,
And you wanted to rewrite the fate’s treatise,

So that whenever she talked, she only talked to you,
Whenever she passed by someone in the street,
She always passed staring at you,
And wherever she went, it was just you she intended to meet,

But right now, she just passed by and I saw her walk away,
Until she had reached far, and become a distant star,
And now I only keep gazing at the sky every night and day,
And I deal with the never ending inner war,

Where she still peeps through all my memories,
Where she still makes me believe what I saw was true,
And I feel like these helpless daisies,
Who can do nothing, but just wait for the winter to pass and hope the sky will once again turn blue,

So I am a flower that is rooted in its place and its faith,
And I only grow in the field of her beauty,
That is what my heart feels and that is what my mind always sayeth,
For sometimes to love and to believe is the noblest duty!

And I love her still although she is a star so distant,
Rescued by my memories that form the only bridge,
Between what I felt then , what I so long to feel now, ah it is a feeling so eminent,
But I have to live with the star and its distance and volunteer myself for this daily emotional sacrilege!

But then, living loving someone is a beautiful feeling,
Maybe that is why daisies bloom every year,
To witness the kiss of the summer, that magical thing,
And for its sake bearing the pain of winter, seems nothing, every year, and every next year!”

“She and the star

The feeling was fair,
It felt like a perfect pair,
There appeared to be no room for any despair,
As my imagination got caught in her beautiful eyes and her locks of hair,

Well, the sun had finally risen,
My heart too had eventually chosen,
Her, and her beautiful eyes where I wished to awaken,
Every morning and every day, because in them I did not feel forsaken,

So I waited at the crossing of life where I had met her sometime ago,
Where I just felt an existence without an ego,
Yes, it was many years and many months ago,
I am there at the same crossing now, wondering where to go,

For it is uncertain which way she took,
Whether she went towards the mountain tall or there where flows the brook,
Or there, where the summer breezer a few leaves had tenderly shook,
Or maybe there, from where she had left while offering me that strange parting look,

But then I realise few things shine like stars,
For those who believe in love without bars,
And those who deal with emotional battles and feeling induced wars,
To realise that in order to shine one must burn, and that is the fate of all stars,

So I seek her in the sky instead, assuming she is the star I can see,
From anywhere, from everywhere, or wherever I might be,
And this has made me fall in love with the night, where it creates a world just for me,
The starry world, where finally, in the stars those eyes and that smile I can see,

And during the day I lie asleep because the sky means nothing,
It just has the burning sun, the bright light and perhaps everything,
But it is not the sky, that shines with that fairest thing,
Those beautiful eyes, that subtle smile, and her shimmer that is so charming,

And here I am witnessing another night,
Looking at the star that is in the sight,
Seeking from it a pseudo delight,
Because what burns may not always create the beauty’s eternal light,

But that is not the star’s fault nor the skies folly,
For the munificent star burns for me willingly,
So that I think of her lovingly,
And that I accept silently, that my heart too loved what I loved with my mind finally!”

“She

I had always seen her with him, everywhere she went she went with him,
And today she walked the streets alone, and so lonely without him,

She did not smile any longer without him,
Because she felt disturbed by smiles without him,

She often admired the starry night with him,
But now the sky, more than the dying stars, missed her, because she was lost somewhere in the act of missing him,

She did not want to try living without him,
Because when she was tired of trying she had finally tried and loved him,

She longer waited for the summer as she used to with him,
Because when she had got bored of summer and it's everything, she had loved him,

She felt the summer rose was dull without him,
Because it felt fresh and brilliant, when to the rose he compared her, and she always kissed him,

She did not want to kiss the rose without him,
Because the rose, the summer, reminded her of him,

She did not feel anything without him,
Because her feelings failed to produce sensations without him,

She was alive but she was still searching a part of her own self that died in him,
And she feels it is a curse to live without him,

She no longer sings songs that she used to sing with him,
Because her heart no more creates musical beats that it created when she was with him,

She still seeks him, nothing else, just him, everywhere she is, she seeks him,
Because to her there appears to be nothing left to seek without him,

Birds often sing at her window but in them too she seeks him,
And the poor birds who always seek her in her eyes, fly away in sadness, because in her eyes, they only see him, just him,

She does not look at the sky anymore, because there too she wishes to see him,
And the sky always reminds her of him, and the moments spent with him,

He has died a long time ago, but she is still with him, still believing she was born for him,
So she is living, hoping that someday death will disown him,

She is hoping, but not the way she used to hope when she was with him,
Because now she only hopes about one thing, because all her desires and wishes begin and end with him,

She is there waiting in her chair, looking out of the window waiting for him,
Begging time to lead her to him,

But the time does not wish to reveal him,
For if it does, heavens shall miss him,
And in this strife between the heaven who wants to keep him and her heart that wants to reclaim him,
Time is the only force that can interfere and the only virtue that for her can recreate him,

Tonight when the moon rose in the sky, the stars shone too, she looked at the sky and thought of him,
Time watched her from its kingdom called everywhere, and from the heavens it finally stole him,

Now they live for each other, and she lives with him,
Because finally heaven too believed it is better they be together, because she indeed was born for him,

Moreover, time had started procrastinating the affairs of the universe that can neither stop for her nor for him,
So they let her have him because immortality felt better, only when she thought of him and when she was with him!”

“She

I had always seen her with him, everywhere she went she went with him,
And today she walked the streets alone, and appeared so lonely without him,

She did not wish to smile without him,
Because she felt disturbed by smiles without him,

She often admired the starry nights with him,
But now the sky, more than the dying stars, missed her, because she was lost somewhere in the act of missing him,

She did not want to try living without him,
Because when she was tired of trying she had finally tried, and loved him,

She no longer waited for the summer as she used to when she was with him,
Because when she had got bored of summer and it's every beautiful thing, she had loved him,

She felt the summer rose was dull without him,
Because it felt fresh and brilliant when he compared her to the rose, and she always kissed him,

She did not want to kiss the rose without him,
Because the rose and the summer, reminded her of him,

She did not feel anything without him,
Because her feelings failed to produce sensations without him,

She was alive, but she was still searching a part of her own self that died in him,
And now she feels it is a curse to live without him,

She no longer sings songs that she used to sing with him,
Because her heart no more creates musical beats that it created when she was with him,

“The lovers

They had loved, they had cried, and they had smiled, together;
Now they looked at the horizon of life and wished to gather,

The moments inextricably tied to their lives,
Upon which their present thrives,

But they think of the future, and the moments of love in it,
For they do not wish to live in the future, but a future with love in it,

A feeling that rises from the bottom of their hearts,
And then whether they are in the present or the future, it never departs,

With these inalienable feelings of love they wish to be,
For a day is lifeless when in each others eyes, their own reflections they cannot see,

The boy loves the woman in her, while the girl loves the man in him,
And this feeling lights up their pathways of life in moments where the light of hope is dim,

So, he touches her face and kisses her wherever he could,
And the girl feels everything a woman in her should,

Then they endlessly look at the horizon of life and watch it turn beautiful,
Because now he feels her and she feels him in ways fulfilling and full,

And as the evening spreads across their amorous universe,
Their feelings of love across it freely traverse,

She tells him her story of her heart beats, and the boy too repeats,
That how for her his heart everyday beats,

Loving her, feeling her, being with her, until he feels his universe exists only because of her,
And then once again he embraces her and then tenderly kisses her,

And they both disappear from the worldly sight,
Because they have evolved into everything now, the brightness of the day, and the beautiful secrets of the night,

So whenever you see two lovers looking at the horizon of their lives,
Be certain, that it is in them too, in their hopes, in their desires, that their love thrives,

Maybe they have disappeared, and there is no trace of theirs left for the eyes that only see,
Because the most beautiful virtues are the ones you can only feel and not see, with the eyes that feel before they see,

So, they have disappeared because they felt what no lover has ever felt,
And it was then I saw that even the horizon of the universe in their obeisance knelt,

And now they live in each other,
In the eyes of the other and forever together!

And I hear the universe say, “this is true love of true lovers!”
Who now love each other in the night's secrets, and their twinkling covers!

As I leave the scene Irma, the night covers me too,
And I escape into the world that it creates exclusively for me and for you!”

“Trail of lovers

He had walked that path before,
It was a place that was like a sea with no shore,

But he walked anyway,
Relentlessly every night and everyday,

The path seemed to have no end,
But he had his hopes and his aspirations to defend,

He walked everyday, anyway,
And it was so even today,

The path appeared to extend into infinity,
And he hoped for a moment of serendipity,

But there was none, none at all,
The path continued always ahead of his will, and the person in him, unwilling to fall,

Until one day infinity got tired and abruptly ended,
For it had exhausted its every reserve of finite moments that to safeguard its pride it had expended,

When we all expected that he would now stop here,
He pronounced, “I seek something that lies everywhere!”

So, he continued walking and the path stretched as far as it could,
Then one day time too got tired and said, “Stop please. Stop. You should!”

But he smiled and walked anyway,
Because he knew the path he had taken was not to be determined by the trail of the way,

It lay in the vision of the mind where he bore her every sweet memory,
And they fed his quest that would place him on the trail that was starry,

Where sky was the limit, where time was the end, where everywhere was the direction,
Because that is what is felt by a heart kissed by love and someone’s true affection,

And the path has led him somewhere, that is what they say,
Where, I cannot say that, I cannot; nay!

Because time got tired chasing him and his trails of love,
Now they say he resides somewhere where you can reach only with the feelings of that special love,

That he felt, someday and someway,
And in its lure he traveled far, and finally too far away,

Where time gets tired to tread,
Because there only they go who on feelings of romantic love are fed!

And we often think of him, we even think of her, who made him so,
But there, we who can never travel ahead of time, dare not go,

There they now live together,
On the trail of time that lasts forever!”

“Her face and the garden

Her face is like a summer garden,
By divine beauty tended and by grace never forsaken,

There bloom roses many, and lilies too,
And I keep looking at it, for in spell bound state what else can I do,

Yesterday she was a garden of roses,
Last year she was the entire spring, where once in bloom, the beauty’s flower never closes,

This year she has transformed into a garden blooming with new flowers,
Daisies, daffodils, and sunflowers standing like beauty’s radiant towers,

Rendered more radiant in the never ending splendour of her eyes,
And the garden of beautiful roses growing all over her, even time defies,

While I watch the garden of beauty grow over her face,
My heart beats assume a new and lovely pace,

That draw my mind into this world of endless beauty,
And I know not whether it obeys my heart’s yearnings or it too has grown fond of her pure serenity,

The summer has found a permanent residence in her face, infact within her,
Because I still see the roses blooming over her face although it is late November,

And when sometimes she brushes her hair with her fingers,
The roses peek from her face to feel her finger tips and their magical wonders,

And when she rests her eyelids upon her eyes,
The pollen dust of million flowers, upon her waiting eyelashes, a perfect sheen applies,

That neither sparkles nor glows,
But in the garden of her face it simply in its splendour grows,

And when the winter sun gets tired and retires finally,
The lilies apply the mask of radiance on her tenderly,

While the violets and narcissus seep deep into her brow,
And what a wonder she is to look at now,

A beauty with no end, where waves of summer flow interminably,
As she rests her head on the pillow and closes her eyes slowly,

The morning glory turns into the night glory,
And then begins our own love story,

Where the lovely and winding creepers grow all over us, over her and over me too,
Finally the garden of beauty grows all over us, and now it shall be so, no matter what you do,

I in the garden of her beauty where flowers bloom everywhere,
And then my heart confesses, “Irma, let us hide in this garden somewhere,

To be never found by time, and never felt by any season,
Because finally we have found love in each other that defies every reason,”

And this is how it has been for many years now,
I and my every feeling of love sinking deep into her beauty’s eternal brow!”

“Roses and they

She had shown him many things,
She had made him feel joys of many springs,

They had been to many places together,
They had found love in each other,

He had believed in her and her every word,
He had erected on the highways of his heart her every memories’ billboard,

She had travelled on them for many years,
She had never let time’s brevity be the reason for her fears,

So they felt every passing day, they experienced life of love,
So much, that they even felt loved by the feeling of love,

She waited for him in every moment,
She felt it was him whenever a leaf fell or she felt some movement,

He too felt the same; as she felt,
He to with her in his own heart dwelt,

They lived a life that was unlamented by all virtues,
They were kissed by life’s joys and and beauty’s all possible hues,

He was unremitting when it came to loving her,
He always wanted to be with her, forever together,

Then one day they slept under a rose bush in full bloom,
Then I beheld them being woven together on the life’s loom,

He now lives within her and she lives within him,
She is the rose bush that radiates with a different light under the moonlight dim,

He is the roses which only bloom for her,
And she is the rose bush that only grows for him forever!”

“Her

Her thoughts fall like rain drops from somewhere above,
And they remind me of her and our moments of love,

Her memories rain as kisses covering my every thought,
And they remind me of the battles of love by us together fought,

Her smiles spread like the sunshine that lights up everything,
And among this array of things, my heart too is one thing,

Her eyes steal every view floating in my vision,
And it feels like the most welcome treason,

Her voice sounds like a conversation between the rose and a butterfly,
And I wish she were a butterfly and this rose were I,

Her presence feels like the most beautiful wonder of reality,
And when I look at her, she appears to be bathed in superlative sublimity,

Her tenderly moving lips remind me of Eden,
And I wonder if she is the one, originally created by God as the most beautiful maiden,

Her movements feel like romantic shaking of flowers by the slow breeze,
To watch her in this graceful act puts my heart and mind at an eternal ease,

Her expressions that adorn her face,
Make me believe, that it is in her, Eden somehow hid its every grace,

Her everything, her every act, her every movement,
Wants me to steal her from time’s every moment,

Her wonder invades me subtly and then completely,
And I claim, “Irma I love you totally!”

“Highways of love

He traveled on emotional highways,
Followed by someone who knew his all ways,

Together they invested in feelings new,
Where there were many memories and moments of joy kissed by morning dew,

He criss crossed the lanes and highways with her,
As they felt new emotions and experienced new feelings together,

The highways of emotions that eventually transformed into the highways of love,
And on these highways you only saw them, whether you looked from any side or you looked at them from above,

Because they traveled on highways, of which only they knew,
Created by their feelings of love and emotions new,

These highways stretched from heart to heart,
And they experienced the unstoppable rush of intense emotions from the very start,

And as the highway of one feeling ended,
With a new heart beat a new one got instantly created,

So it can be said they lived in their bodies but they stayed in each others hearts,
To feel the highways of feelings from which that original moment of love never departs,

Then as the day approached its end,
These highways of emotions and love did tend to bend,

Where they entered a circular formation,
And as a single sentiment the highways circled around their hearts like purest form of love’s sensation,

And as their eyes slept, their hearts stayed awake, creating circular highways of passionate feelings,
Where their hearts secretly dealt with love kissed feelings,

And at the break of the dawn, the highways stretched again,
As they raced towards new emotions while being kissed by the love’s rain,

It has been so, for centuries now,
Because on these highways of emotions and passions, time exists only for them, every moment called then and every moment called now,

It is just the highways, the two hearts, and the moments of time that never end,
Because they know physical highways may end, but feelings of true love never end, nor do they ever bend!”

“Feeling so

It was not often she felt so,
It was not often he felt her so,

There was something about it and she wondered why was it so,
There was something within her asking her to let it be so,

It was beautiful, it was surreal, and nothing had ever made her feel so,
It was forever that she wished, if she could feel so,

And then wondered how could it be so,
Forever with him, forever around him; and then forever feel so,

Like the summer flower kissed my summer kisses, so often and so,
Like the summer flower, she wanted to feel and then be so,

And ah this feeling, to then forever feel so,
And ah the touch of the summer that makes the summer flower feel so,

A summer that it has never felt before, and it loves to feel so,
A summer that always returns just for her and makes her feel the flower within her, and ah the feeling thereof and so,

That is how my love Irma I feel, and the feeling is truly so,
That of the summer, the summer flower, and in it all, just you, and ah the wonder to feel so!

Maybe that is what love is about, and maybe that is why I feel so,
Maybe that is what I had always wanted to feel, and now I feel so!”

“You and patterns

Patterns, shapes and visions, all assume one form,
That of her smiles, her deep eyes and her beauty warm,

Moments, all moments passing by, and the very ability to experience time,
Without her seems to be a profane act of mind, that becomes its inadvertent crime,

Days, months, years and decades, chase a century still unrealised,
But in all these variants of time, in every moment you reside disguised,

As a feeling that leaps from every moment of time and imprisons me,
So I lie stranded in a moment, and I cannot do anything, though I know it is not where it is meant to be,

Hopes arise from somewhere in my mind, and become feelings felt a long time ago,
And my heart follows the mind into emotional territories, where it should not go,

And then all patterns, all shapes, and every vision assumes one shape,
That of you, your beauty, and then this visual mirage covers me like a drape,

Like a never ending veil of mist flowing over the surface of water,
Concealing everything that lies between them, and the gently flowing waves in romantic splashes utter,

Feelings they feel, and it is then feelings speak in a language that one can hear,
And like these waves, my love Irma, my heart beats too; similar echoes of my passions bear,

Then shapes fade away, patterns disappear, and only the vision remains,
Now my heart does not control my mind, and my mind no longer my heart restrains,

So I live inside a vision and you live all around me,
And the mind doesn't care what the heart feels, because my heart has grown into a tree,

That branches out everywhere, it has transformed into the tree of everything,
But it still remains the tree that only bears one fruit and thrives on one thing,

That of your memories and your visions, in all colours,
It is then, my wandering heart ends its wayward tours,

And I grow as a feeling over this vision of yours,
Because now the vision is completely and exclusively ours!”
