Tawfek I really love old pilgrim diaries, because people write down the journey they took to their destination and what happened on the way and suddenly you find yourself transfered to another time. Seeing things you could never see but you get to see thanks to the book.

Glad you love pilgrim diaries Tawfek, I never knew that about your reading tastes. Great to know, I will keep it in mind. I personally do not like travelogues or pilgrim diaries or journals et al., but since this one is a classic in theological literature, I'd thought I'd give it a go. I bought it from one of my local lending libraries that I patronize, they sell second hand books too there (galore!). I rarely do any personal reading these days - I don't think I have done any leisure reading in four years! If I did then the first series I would attack would be Lobsang Rampa's esoteric books - I have the whole collection. Happy Reading to you Tawfek! Cheers to you! :)

Tawfek @Fiza for the first time ever I totally understand you, I always thought it weird how writers read very little. Until I became one lol Like these days I am doing personal reading enjoying my time having fun, but when I am writing I read things that could expand my horizon to the world I write only, I want all my activity while writing for a few months to be for the sole purpose of getting better.

I'm glad of it. I am right now sleep deprived & absolutely exhausted, but yet I have to go to the Church for noon prayers & then lunch - that mash or gruel - remember!? Then I either will study-study-study or read-read-read, but something is telling me I better get to bed once I am done with lunch. The woes of a multitasker author! And the Consecrated Virgin rule is to walk to the church - basically use your legs more than any other vehicle unless under duress. So - here I go - walking in the cold winter afternoon without any coffee in my belly - mercy Lord! :'( :)

Tawfek I believe in your power of walking, you could probably walk the road of pain or whatever it was called.

I did walk the road of pain & then did whatever I had to do & walked back home. I was reading when then I was informed that I had tuitions before evening prayers, & probably because of there being a great number of them that I would have to miss evening prayers - so got to work, while still reading my Kindle. I am quite involved with one book right now, it is a tome & that drove my sleep away even further!

Then tuitions were done at 7:00pm so had to power walk my way to the next neighboring Church that had a 7:15pm Mass. When I got there........I dropped dead asleep on the doorstep of the Church LOL! Was woken up by some do-gooders then went for Mass like a good nun that I am (I think!?).

Prayed, fell asleep several times while praying, had to be woken up by water being splashed upon my face (freezing cold water LOL!) & then once the Mass was over, I power-walked back home.

Then went to bed without dinner - no mash or gruel for me! Got up 1 & a half hour back, & the cat Lopez has eaten up all my gruel! Greedy Cat! Now she is hiccupping like the glutton that she is!

Now I have to study-study-study & type-type-type & work-work-work on an empty stomach.

It feels so lovely to be talking to you again Tawfek, I seriously missed you! I had no one to rant to & talk books & stuff about. Thanks. :)
