Somehow, I accidentally hit a button and rated my own book (and took it down as soon as I could figure out how to). Didn’t mean to give it stars. I don’t rate my own books. If I did, they’d probably all get around 3 stars because I always see how I could have written it better. Of course I’ve read them—multiple times before publishing. But rereading my own work is kind of like seeing myself in outdated fashions and old hairdos from a decade ago. Wouldn’t be caught dead looking like that now. I think that’s how I’ll always feel about the books I write. Each one is a stepping stone to hopefully something better as I grow in my craft. I’m thankful for the readers and supporters who love them, but can equally understand those who aren’t compelled by them.
