Maria C Bonjour Théo

First Hemingway book I’ve read — and I really liked it.
Merci.

Théo d'Or Oh... first Hemingway....
I've wanted to read it for such a long time..It looks like an original Hemingway-style saudade.. For those crazy years. Can't wait to start..

Merci , Maria

Théo d'Or " .... happy, writing in cafes "...

Doesn't it sound familiar to you ?

Yes, Hemingway in Paris — poor, but happy.

Théo d'Or But you, writing on the terraces....Same happiness, just another location...
Le soleil se lève aussi, là où tu es....

Maria C For some time now, I’ve preferred reading on the hotel rooftop. There’s too much noise out on the terrace and I can’t concentrate.

Théo d'Or Good choice. That reminds me Beatles' " Get Back ", on the rooftop.
Rooftops inspire. I'II try Tour Montparnasse rooftop as well :))

Perhaps, we feel like we own the world when we’re up on the rooftops.

Théo d'Or Something like that.. It gives the impression of a smaller world. And people too. They seem smaller, insignificant. And that's the paradox - they never really are.

We’re only as big as our dreams.

Théo d'Or Great reflection, Maria. Really great. People are nothing without dreams.

Celeste Corrêa Bonjour à tous!

Théo d'Or Sois la bienvenue, Celeste !

Merci for your opinion, you already have an excellent intuition when it comes about my tastes.

From what i've read in description, I will enjoy a lot. Those crazy years are part of a chapter in Hemingway's life that profoundly marked his personal style. I wish I could have lived in those times. Happiness needed nothing. Only passion.
