That sounds disturbing.

The protagonist's struggle with grief is, for me, the main thing. But there are graphic and gruesome depictions that are definitely R-rated. I'm audiobooking this and tend to zone out at those moments, lol. But when they sneak up on me, I do grimace. Still, well written and some of the characters and humor are drawn in a style similar to the AG's...that noted, I wouldn't say it's something every Boardellan would enjoy.
