Ah ha! Now see the book you were talking about. My old man was in hospital recovering from escaping Greece so missed Crete!

I think my uncle was on Crete. Need to check his record. He was taken POW either in Greece or Crete
Greece was unbelievably brutal. I did a lot of research about it for Painting the Light but most of it hit the cutting room floor! The 2/1st Field Regiment's story was incredible.
