a philospher disguised as a novelist. Ancient Egyptian theme was only a kickstart for his literary journey but he's best known for Harafish and Cairo Triolgy which explore lives, struggles and power dynamics in early 20's century Egypt. Children of Gebelawi is also a masterpiece and his take on Arabian Nights is impressive. hope you enjoy it :)
