Gorky Park is the first of the Arkadi Renko series. The others are:

Polar Star: set on fishing boats and on the fish processing ship "Polar Star" in the Bering Sea with a stop in Dutch Harbour in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska.

Red Square: mostly set in Munich and Moscow

Havana Bay : obvious

Wolves Eat Dogs : Thernobyl and Kiev

Stalin's Ghost: parts in St. Petersburg, parts in Moscow

Three Stations: Moscow

Tatiana (most recent in the series) set in Bielorussia.

One interesting aspect is that the series starts during the cold war and goes through the difficult transition to today's quasi democracy under Poutine.
