I've almost read some NS...I got about 3/4's of the way through Reamde before I got a bit bored with it. I was thinking about giving this a try just wondering if it'll be better than Reamde
I haven't tried Reamde, but I really liked Seveneves (very technical) and Anathem (less technical) - and then didn't really care for Quicksilver, and was lukewarm about Cryptonomicon. I guess that's the beauty and the challenge of an author with a wide range! I feel the same way about Neil Gaiman: about half of his stuff blows my mind, and the other half...just...eh? Anyway, I think Seveneves is worth a try, especially if you can borrow it from the library!
