Sissy Lu {The Bookish Raven} I absolutely loved this serious! I devoured these books so quickly when I read them. Nix is one of my favorites.. up there with Gaiman for me. :}

Grape Awesome, then we have very similar interests in books! Have you tried Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor? LOVED this series. The main character grows up in our world, but has access to another, mysterious world inhabited by demons and angels... though it is not clear which is virtuous or evil. Fast-paced, full of suspense and wonder, and definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat, especially in the 2nd and 3rd books!

Sissy Lu {The Bookish Raven} I'm waiting for the second book to come in at my library, but I read the first and really enjoyed that, too. It does look like we have similar tastes! I really enjoyed laini Taylor's style and story writing capabilities.

Grape Oh you're gonna love it! Well how do you feel about sci fi? Ender's Game is definitely one that stays with you... and if you can handle some sciency jargen, The Martian was really hard to put down. The Circle by Dave Eggars is another that suck with me, a story about the horrors that can happen if we let corporations like Google take over the world...not even sure what genre that one is! Good luck in your search!

Sissy Lu {The Bookish Raven} I've read Ender's Game, it was an okay feel for me. I really enjoyed the movie on that one. I'll have to pick up The Martian, I've read really good reviews about that and have heard nothing but good about it.

Thanks for the recs, happy reading!
