American Vampire is pretty great. I've just finished vol. 1 of Pretty Deadly and I'm ABSOLUTELY HOOKED. It's brilliant, packed with powerful women, and visually beautiful. If you're a fan of Neil Gaiman's Sandman, you would appreciate it. I got into the graphic world via Chew, so I think we might share similar taste!
Chew is the best! It's my favorite graphic novel ever. I've been trying to find something just as good but I'm not quite there yet. Totally buying Pretty Deadly and American Vampire. Those look especially good. Thanks so much for the suggestions ^.^
