It depends on writing style of the novel !
What specific romantic novels have made you cry in the past? It's difficult to know what sort of book will strongly move someone else.
Have you read any of John Green's other books? I haven't read it myself, but The Fault In Our Stars is a well-known tear-jerker.
An Abundance of Katherines I've read.
