Patrick Rothfuss' The Name of the Wind is an awesome series. If you are looking for something a little more YA the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander or the Sword of Shannara series by Terry Brooks.
I definitely looking for something a little more adult in that its sex-y, but I want substance. I don't want a 100 page smut novel...
"Spider's Bite" by Jennifer Estep is pretty cool (it's also adult). "Halfway to the grave" is also good.
