Kris You're welcome. Thanks for asking the question! I've been listening to audiobooks lately and have come to appreciate a great reader. Rosalyn Landor, for example, enhances a British tale beautifully. I'm going to check out some of the recos below.

Jen Churchill This is probably too late but David Sedaris's Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk is way better via audiobook, with many guest readers. :)

Lisa The Harry Potter series. Jim Dale is a great reader, gives distinct voices to dozens (if not hundreds) of characters.

Lisa A good or bad reader can really make or break an audiobook. Some I just can't get through. But I've also enjoyed actor Steven Lang as a reader of a couple of Dean Koontz books, and the Mists of Avalon book (can't remember that reader, but I remember enjoying it enough to listen to about 70 hours of story).

Melissa Olson I know this is from a long time ago, but the audiobooks for the tiffany aching series from Terry Pratchett are amazing. Stephen Briggs reads them so well, and I love listening to him read me these stories!
