Kenneth R Vickery loves to create unconventional characters and put them in bizarre situations. It is a joy of his storytelling as he can embrace social issues from a new and humorous perspective.
He wants his stories to explore how things like love, loyalty, and kindness can affect the fear and hatred that divides us, such as racism, sexism, and intolerance to drug users and other weird people. He is also interested in the role of art, culture, and schizophrenia in our society.
Kenneth retired from the mental health field to concentrate on his writing in 2017. He has been working on his writing for over twenty years and recommends writing groups and book clubs. He also reads many books, now using audiobooks due to his failing eye-sight.
