If you liked "The Road" and "No Country for Old Men", read the rest of Cormac McCarthy. His best book is "Blood Meridian" which is set in the old west but might as well be taking place in a post-apocalyptic landscape. It's about a gang of bounty hunters who set out to scalp Indians for the Mexican government and then end up just killing everything in their path.
