Try also The Thirteenth Tale (if you have not already). And Jane Aiken Hodge´s books are a lot like Mary Stewart´s. Josephine Tey´s Brat Farrar I think is the explicit inspiration for Touch Not the Cat ( by Mary Stewart) if you like that book!
