I’m Elisa.
I love books.
I’m Italian by birth, Swiss by marriage, and a serial expat (which lead me to the kindle, because moving a lot with lots of books is a pain). These days I only read in English, but I enjoy every medium (audiobooks, e-books, physical books, graphic novels) and a variety of genres — though the bulk tends to fall somewhere in the SFF spectrum, plus a healthy dose of rom-coms to balance out heavier books.
Likes: enemies to lovers, political intrigue, fake dating, character-centric narratives, interesting villains, talented voice actors, metal foil on covers.
I feel very strongly about the books I read and that will often come out in my reviews. You are welcome to post a comment, but NOT if it’s to pick a fight. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Read and let read!...more

I'm similarly picky with audio book narrators. This is read (in the Audible version, anyway) by the author herself, which is fitting as the book has autobiographical elements. She does a good job of helping the book sound like a deeply personal story rather than just a "misery memoir" (which it could easily have turned into).I'm similarly picky with audio book narrators.
