I just finished reading The Marriage Mart by Teresa DesJardien and I liked very much the relationship between the two main characters. Those who read the book will understand what I am talking about. The two main characters becoming close friends, the way they were breaking the society rules by calling themselves by the first name, touching each other in secret, the hero secretly going to the heroine's bedroom (not necessarily with something sexual in mind). I am very interested in this kind of relationships. Secretly playing with each other behind people's back, if you understand what I mean. I am mainly interested in the historical books. That being said, does any of you know similar books that I could read? I would be very grateful. I know it sounds silly, but I just cannot get rid of this obsession at the moment and I do not know where to find that type of books. Thank you!...more
