My rating reflects my personal enjoyment at the time of reading the book, although retrospectively it may change. If I have rated your favourite book less than it deserved, yes, maybe I did not get it. But at least you have spent your time enjoyably as opposed to me. Life is too short to read books you do not like, so you can take solace in knowing how pitiful I am.
