Some of my favourite series in this subgenre are Craft Sequence by Max Gladstone, Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee, The Divine Cities by Robert Jackson Bennett, and The Black Iron Legacy by Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan. Some Discworld books also qualify.
