After that Morningstar and Golden Son by Pierce Brown I really love as well, and Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. I like most of Brandon Sanderson's stuff, but most of it I just find to be very good, but I wouldn't say I'm like in love with it. I very much enjoy it, it's just not my favorite. Currently reading the Fitz and the Fool trilogy. For what its worth I don't actually enjoy the liveship traders trilogy, and I seem to struggle when there is a combination of many PoV's along with a lot of worldbuilding. I tried wheel of time and it was a drag, even though I made it to book 7. Likewise, I enjoyed will of the many, but when it spread out to the multiple realities with different protagonists in the sequel it lost me. Same with Red Rising; I loved the first three books, but when it split to multi-PoV it lost a lot of traction for me, and I didn't end up finishing Dark Age. I tried both Bound and the Broken and Faithful and the Fallen but didn't care for them either. As far as romance goes, I do like to have romance in stories, but I don't like it to be like the entirety of the story; don't recommend me romantasy; but a perfect example of romance in a story to me is Royal Assassin and Fool's Fate, if you've read those. ...more
