I accept friend requests from most Goodreads members, the only exceptions: NOT from members Under the age of 18. NOT from authors. NOT from members that obviously have NOT read my profile page.
I am always on the lookout for authors that think outside the box and do not write books and especially romance books that are just following a trend and really have no substance or are so unoriginal that they are interchangeable with many other books in the romance genre.
And I also believe that romance readers should have a safe but also a pleasant reading experience.
I also believe and think that Representation in books matter and is very important.
All kinds of Representation matters! Good and positive Representation matters!
More romance books and fiction books in general need more relatable and representative characters, and much less idealized and "perfect" characters. All kinds of ages and bodies but also abilities needs to have much more representation.
I also applaud all authors (in general, but also in reviews) that care about diversity and inclusion and write about it and handle it in a good and sincere way.
Good research is always important no matter the topic or theme or genre. And handling sensitive topics but also serious topics in a considerate/mindful way is also very important.
