Her first awards were for poems she wrote at seven and twelve, in small school competitions.
At sixteen, she decided to share her stories with the world, and her debut novel, "Manual do Anti-Esquecimento", won the 2015 Wattys, the official awards of the Wattpad platform. She won again in 2020 with "Realeza Assistida", and was a finalist in 2022. Over the past decade, she has written more than ten works of fiction across fantasy, young adult, romance, and fairy-tale retellings. Her books have ranked among Amazon Brazil's Top 50 bestsellers and have sold out at the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro Book Biennials.
A graduate in Portuguese and English language and literature, with a focus on fairy tales, Fatima is just as devoted to pop culture. She is a lifelong fan of the Jonas Brothers, Disney, and Star Trek, all of which turn up in her books. Writing, she says, is what makes her who she is. She hopes her stories will always comfort, delight, and warm the hearts of her readers, and she plans to keep building new worlds for the rest of her life.
"Glowing in the Dark", the first book in a planned fantasy trilogy, is her English-language debut.
